All yoga has the potential to be therapeutic and helps the practitioner achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance. A yoga therapy session is designed to address the specific health and wellness goals & needs of the individual. The yogic model of health addresses the whole body and considers every aspect of life.
Shannon's mission is to serve the needs of each yoga student. In each session, she helps students explore meditation, breathing practices, yoga poses, and movement to reduce or manage symptoms, improve function, and bring more ease to the body.
Shannon meets her yoga students where they are—beginner or advanced, younger or older, flexible or not-so-flexible. With more than 20 years of personal practice, Shannon understands yoga is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. She offers small group and individual yoga sessions in a variety of styles including chair yoga, gentle yoga, restorative yoga, and all levels of vinyasa flow. She suggests variations for each pose and uses props to accommodate each person’s individual needs.
